Alexandra was in town for the holiday break visiting her parents. She had absolutely no idea that her boyfriend, Michael, was in town getting ready to propose to her! The big event was to take place at Loose Park, such a beautiful setting. I met with Michael the day before the proposal at the park to make sure we had all the details down so the next day would go as planned. He literally thought of everything right down to how making sure the photographer following them wouldn’t give the surprise away. Luckily Alexandras’ family wanted some updated family photos. All along she thought she was just there for a portrait session, but at the end I was photographing just her in the rose garden and behind her you can see Michael coming in the distance. She was so surprised! She of course said yes. Right after she points to each person saying “you lied and you lied and you lied…”. It was so fun to watch her make sense of the whole day. Michael had even hidden a video camera to capture it all. He even filmed the whole planning process and plans to make a video of how the proposal went down.

Below is my first birth I photographed at the New Birth Company! For this particular birth I wasn’t able to photograph the babies entrance into the world but was able to capture some labor shots and then do some portraits when he was just a couple hours old! The parents were our contest winners! Congrats Jeff and Nicole! It was an absolute please to photograph this beautiful event in your lives.

I want to thank all of my amazing clients from 2011! It was a joy to capture your babies coming into this world, your engagements, weddings, proposals, children, family photos and everything in between! I feel so blessed to be a part of so many amazing memories. I consider my job a gift. Now that we have began a new year I am excited about all the special moments I will get to be a part of this year. I have a feeling 2012 will be a special kind of year.
