Last week I had the honor of having my work published on Done Brillantly! They featured an adorable surprise proposal photo shoot I did a couple months ago. Remember this one? I love getting my work out there and having blogs and magazines published my work! I have several publications scheduled for the coming months. A couple years ago I got a call from Heather Snow, an author working to get her first book published! The next step in the process for her was to get some head shots for her author photo. I absolutely loved photographing her and I got some amazing head shots for her. We used locations all over Kansas City, including the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. I am happy to say that she has signed with, Penguin Group (USA), and her first book, Sweet Enemy, came out this year and is available for purchase where most books are sold. Heather is a historical romance author and you can find more about her at her website. She even has her 2nd book coming out this fall. Congratulations Heather you have arrived at your dream! When I walked into Barnes and Noble to find the book for the first time I have to say it was pretty neat to flip to the author photo and see “Photo By Portraits By Lucinda“! I have to say it’s pretty exciting to have my first head shot photo published in a book!

It’s an exciting day when you get published! I try and publish almost all of my weddings! How fun is that for a bride to see her wedding in a big blog or printed in a magazine!
