Bernadette and Michael – Kansas City Engagement Photographer
I always get excited when my client mentions they would like a rustic/ farm setting for their photo shoot. This is by far my favorite style to shoot it! The location we started at is a new spot I recently stumbled upon. For some reason I am drawn to rows of trees! I don’t know what it is but I just love the look and if you add prairie grass on top of that then it’s somewhere that makes my creative juices happy! It was so fun to finally shoot at this spot and I am really happy with how the images turned out. What do you think? Our second spot was an abandoned barn that I LOVE to shoot at. I always wonder when it will be my last chance to shoot there though. I am always sad thinking how they will probably tear it down as a new neighborhood with beautiful houses is going up :( I will say there is one downfall to this location and that is TICKS! I am not a huge fan of bugs, but ticks send me running! I always wear abnormally warm clothes so my body can be covered and I coat myself in tick spray from head to toe! I am sure Bernadette and Michael were laughing a big when they saw how much bug spray I used. It wasn’t enough though because 3 hrs after I got home I found one on my stomach. EWWW! Totally worth the beautiful shots though.
Bernadette and Michael were so much fun to photograph. I absolutely loved what they picked to wear and I loved how her shirt had a nice pop of color. Did I mention how beautiful her hair is? They also have the most contagious laughter. I think we laughed most of the shoot. They are so sweet together and I can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall.
When Bernadette came in for her wedding consultation I was once again reminded of how small our world is. As we were getting to know each other she realized that she went to law school with my husband! Too funny that they knew each other.
I hope you enjoy these images from their shoot! If you would like to see the full slideshow click here
