Josh + Rachel

I had such a great time photographing Josh and Rachel's wedding, it's always a joy to watch a good friend get married. Josh and I went to high school together at Shawnee Mission South and we were in the same photography class almost all 4 years. It was really neat to see my journey in photography come full circle. Photographing his wedding reminded me of my early days in photography and made me so happy knowing I had followed my dream and now had my own business doing photography full time.

Thanks Josh and Rachel for making me part of your day. I am so happy for the two of you.

If you would like to see their full wedding slideshow go to Josh + Rachel.

Miller Wedding

Ted and Deepa's wedding was so special to photograph, it was sweet to see the love between the two of them that day. They were so happy it was finally their day.

Their wedding had several special touches to it that made their own. I loved how all the women in Deepa's family were wearing their traditional sari's. They added so much fun color to the day and the photos. Most of all the food was absolutely amazing!! Korma Sutra in Overland Park catered her wedding and they did a fabulous job. I have been addicted to Indian food ever since. Such great flavor and spice.

If you would like to see all of her photos go to Miller Wedding.

Below are a few of the wedding vendors of the day

Hair: Sheriee Rusk - Bella Gente in Blue Springs, MO (also my hair stylist)
Food: Korma Sutra (overland park)
Florist: Erin Volante Floral (The best florist in town! Shouldn't consider hiring anyone else)
Reception: The Rhapsody

E is for Elizabeth

If you have been following this blog for a while you may remember Allie and Trevor, I photographed their wedding in 2006 and they just welcomed their new arrival on December 20th, 2009. Elizabeth is such an adorable little baby, I just couldn't get enough of her cheeks! Congratulations Allie and Trevor!

I love photographing newborn babies, the best time to catch the newborn stage is in the first week so try and plan ahead. We know this is easier said than done since there really is no way to know when the little one will actually arrive, contact Portraits By Lucinda and let them know when your due date is and you can tentatively schedule it. This way you make sure you capture this adorable stage that stays for such a short amount of time.

If you would like to see the entire photoshoot go to Baby Elizabeth.
