Harriman Kids

These two were so much fun! The boy had such a great time with getting his photo taken he was always giving me new ideas for poses. I think he has a future in modeling :) It's always fun to get a kid that enjoys it. His little sister who was a little more hesitant of getting her photo taken was quite adorable too. She had so many fun expressions. Both of these kids photograph beautifully. We did their shoot at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art and the fall leaves were beautiful! For anyone wanting to get fall pictures this time was the best. The ground was a sea of yellow leaves. So much fun to work with. Thanks Harriman Family I had a great time!! Ryan + Natalia

Wow I am so far behind. I have been so busy finishing up wedding season and photographing tons of families for their holiday cards! I love my job it's so much fun. I really enjoy meeting so many different people. Oh and did I mention that I have been extra busy b/c I got ENGAGED October 3rd?? Yeah I am so excited. If you would like to read about my upcoming wedding go to Jeff and Cindy.

A couple weeks ago I met with Ryan and Natalia to photograph their engagement session. We went to Antioch park to catch some of the beautiful fall leaves then headed downtown Kansas City to finish up the shoot. They were so great to work with! I am sure they were making fun of me the whole shoot b/c I just couldn't get over how blue their eyes were! I will be photographing their wedding in October of 2009. Their wedding is going to be held at St. John's United Methodist Church and their reception at The Hilton President. Such beautiful locations.

Here are a few from their shoot, okay maybe more than a few! They just photograph so well. If you would like to see their slideshow go to Ryan + Natalia.

Baby Sebastian - 3 weeks old

Oh my favorite! I got to photograph a new little baby. Sebastian is such a good baby, he didn't cry once during the shoot! I love photographing a new life, they are so sweet and precious. I photographed Sebastian's 3 other siblings last fall, they are just the cutest kids! I look forward to photographing all 4 together. If you would like to see the full slideshow go to Baby Sebastian. I hope many new mom's in the Kansas City area will soon contact me to photograph their newborn baby!

Heath and Jessica 7.26.08

Time for a road trip to southwestern Kansas, now I know why people say Kansas is boring - haha!! Jessica wanted her wedding at the church she grew up in way down in Garden City, KS. It is about a 6hr drive from Kansas City, luckily my sweet boyfriend volunteered to come along as my road trip buddy. I am so thankful he came, that drive could have been brutal but he made it so fun. The drive may have been long but it was worth it, I loved working with Jessica and Heath. They are so sweet and their wedding day was full of emotion, I could constantly see the love these two have for one another and how much their friends and family loved them also. It was great to be apart of their day. I wish I could have done a bridal session with Jessica, she is so beautiful and she photographs so well! Honestly she could be a model! Below are some of my favorites. If you would like to see all of them (beware there are a ton) you can go to Mireles Wedding.

Gasper Wedding

I had such a great time photographing Kate and Adam's Wedding. It was like I was thrown back in time though! I went to high school with them and they had a ton of people from our graduating class there. Crazy to see so many of them after so long. Kate and Adam were great to work with and their wedding was beautiful! They were so excited for this day to come; not only because it was their wedding day but it meant they were law school graduates! Congrats Kate and Adam, i wish you all the best.

The wedding was held at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church and their wedding reception was at the Overland Park Marriott. If you would like to see the full slideshow go here Gasper Wedding.

Nelson/Taylor Wedding

First of all thanks to the Bride and Groom, Andrea and Jonah! They were such a blast to work with! This has to be my favorite wedding I have ever photographed. All of the bridal party were really into the pictures so we got a ton of fun ones - the reason why this post is going to be so long :)! They had their wedding and ceremony at The Sawyer Room in downtown Kansas City, Mo. This is an amazing venue. The staff were great to work with and the room was beautiful. It was great b/c no matter where I had to take the photos there was a beautiful background behind me. I was also impressed by their wedding coordinators, Ande and Jill from Something New. Best of all they had the best DJ in Kansas City, Scott Finchman of Complete Music. I have photographed 2 weddings where he was the DJ and I am impressed how he can get absolutely EVERYONE on the dance floor. He makes the reception a blast. If you would like to see the full wedding slideshow please visit Nelson/Taylor Wedding.

Thanks Andrea and Jonah for having me photograph such a special day for the 2 of you!
